Measuring PD:

Pupillary Distance, often abbreviated as PD, refers to the distance between the centres of each pupil.

STEPS FOR MEASURING YOUR PD:

Stand in front of the mirror and place a straight ruler on the bridge of your nose.

Align the ruler so that the zero is over the centre of one pupil.

Hold the ruler steady and parallel, then note the location of your other pupil centre.

Measure the distance between your 2 pupil centres in millimetres to determine your PD.

Repeat the process to ensure accuracy.

Typically, PD ranges from 57 to 65 mm, with 63 mm being the most common measurement. Occasionally, you may encounter a PD notation like "63/59," where the first value represents Distance PD and the second represents Near PD.
